Our Nursery Manager

Meet Our Manager

In setting up Lyth Hill Nursery we have considered what we would want for our own children. We would all wish for our children to be happy, fit and healthy, confident and secure, sociable, kind and caring to others, independent with a clear idea of right and wrong, eager to learn and a big sense of fun. Whilst you as a parent are the major role models in your children’s lives, we will do as much as we can whilst they are in our care to encourage all of these attributes. Everything we have and do will go towards helping to achieve this.

Jo Randles

Our Nursery Manager

Hello, my name is Jo and I am the Nursery Manager at Hillside House Nursery Lyth Hill. Thank you for visiting our website. This is a brief description about me, but I hope to get to know you well in a professional and authentic way. I pride myself on developing good relationships with parents and carers. I live locally with my husband and two children. We love the rural life and farm lambs locally. Both my children have attended Hillside House Nursery and have now moved onto local schools. Early in my career I trained and worked as an early year’s assessor. This involved visiting students at different settings and supporting them achieve level 2 and level 3 qualifications. This gave me a good insight into how various early years setting’s run and also provided me with really useful mentoring skills that I continue to use now to help support my staff team.

My main aim is to run a nursery setting that is welcoming, friendly and inclusive and where children receive the best possible care and learning opportunities in every session. The nursery has an impressive learning environment both inside and outside and part of the that environment is the caring and intuitive staff team, who I am very proud of. A key component of my role is nurturing the staff team, my moto being ‘happy staff, happy children’. Thank you for taking the time to read this information and I look forward to supporting you and your child in their journey at Hillside House Nursery.
